Harris (* 1977 in Berlin , real name Oliver Harris ) is a German rapper from Berlin-Kreuzberg .

Life

Harris is the son of a German mother and an American father.

Harris founded in 1996 with Dean Dawson , the Hip-Hop - Duo Spezializtz . Together they performed at numerous concerts such as the splash! , the Hip-Hop Open or the Rock am Ring Festival. They also released the album trilogy GBZ Oholika I , GBZ Oholika II and GBZ Oholika III .

In 2001, Harris appeared as the main character in the episode Fat Warriors in the crime scene series . He also contributed the title song . The next year the Berliner released the sampler GBZ Connectz , on which Azad , Curse , Xavier Naidoo , Jonesmann , Ferris MC , Samy Deluxe and Afrob were represented. Together with DJ Smallface , Harris then formed the GBZ Babbasoundz team , in which Harris appeared as DJ Binichnich .

In October 2003 Harris released his debut album Dirty Harry through Four Music . The next year Harris went on a Germany-wide tour with Sido . Soon they formed the two-man team, your favorite rappers . The joint album Your Favorite Album was released in October and reached number two in the German album charts . In addition, the single stand up was released again . They rapped along with Xzibit on the album numma Eyns of DJ Tomekk which placed in 2005 in the German charts.

In 2006 Harris appeared in the feature film Heads or Tails . The film was released in April 2009. In November 2007 the mixtape HARRYge Affair was released . A year later, the recording followed in Club! , which Harris published with the two Swiss producers DJ Pfund 500 and DJ Sweap . Both sound carriers were released on the Berlin independent label Sektenmuzik .

On September 24, 2010, Harris released his second album The Man in the House, seven years after his debut album . The album with 12 songs includes guest appearances by J-Luv , Muhabbet , She-Raw , Hammer & Zirkel, Sido, Said and Voll-K. The single release was only controversial for a moment because Harris criticized some immigrants' lack of integration ability in the song . The video was shot at the Unity Festival at the Brandenburg Gate . In 2011 he shot a music video with Johannes Heesters .

Harris is best known as a party rapper . The abbreviation GBZ stands for grass , Beck’s and tenderness . Harris also hosts the hip-hop show Der Patriot on Jam FM and the show Urban Vibes on Yavido . He can also be heard as a commentator in the video game FIFA Street 1 .

Harris is also an avowed fan of the Berlin football club Hertha BSC , he published the song Immer um die Hertha together with the rapper Burna and founded the fan club United Colors of Hertha , which is now registered as the official fan club of Hertha BSC.

Harris was married to singer Bintia and has three children. One of his sons occasionally appears in music video clips under the stage name "Tsunami".
