Harris Yulin

Harris Yulin (born November 5, 1937 in Los Angeles ) is an American actor .

Life

Yulin lived in Tel Aviv-Jaffa in the 1960s , where he became interested in acting. He also lived in Italy for a time because he wanted to be a painter first.

Yulin debuted in the film drama Maidstone in 1970. In addition to Burt Lancaster , he played in 1974 the role of sheriff in the movie The Midnight Man (The Midnight Man) . In 1989 he starred alongside Bill Murray , Dan Aykroyd and in Harold Ramis ' film Ghostbusters II and in 1996 in the film Four Love You alongside Michael Keaton . He also appeared in a number of television series , such as the second season of 24 , Buffy the Vampire Slayer , Third Watch and an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as the Cardassian war criminal Marritza . In episode 1x14 of the series Nikita , Checkmate (Gambit) , he portrayed the villain Gregory Kessler .

In 1996 he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his guest role in the television series Frasier .

Yulin is also a well-known stage actor. So he played u. a. on Broadway in 1997 with Natalie Portman in the stage version of The Diary of Anne Frank and in 2003 with James van der Beek in the play Rain Dance . In 2004 he appeared in Chicago with Matthew Modine , Scott Glenn and Stacy Keach in the world premiere of Arthur Miller's last play Finishing the Picture . For his production of the play The Trip to Bountiful Yulin was a 2006 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Deste reissue (Outstanding Revival) excellent.

Yulin was married to Gwen Welles, who died on October 13, 1993.
