Heather Grace Angel (born February 9, 1909 in Oxford , † December 13, 1986 in Santa Barbara , California ) was a British actress .

Life

Heather Angel made her first film appearance in 1931 in the British-German co-production City of Song at the side of the Polish tenor Jan Kiepura . She played her first leading role in Night on Montmarte that same year . She starred in five films in the B crime series Bulldog Drummond . In the 1940s she took on two roles in Alfred Hitchcock's films : In Suspicion (1941) she was seen as the maid of Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine and in The Lifeboat (1944) she took on the role of Mrs. Higgins.

In addition to her film appearances in England and Hollywood, she borrowed as a voice and characters in Walt Disney - animated films her voice. So it can be heard in the original versions of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan . Heather Angel has been married three times: to Henry Wilcoxon , Ralph Forbes, and Robert B. Sinclair . She was married to the American television director Sinclair from 1944 to 1970 in their third marriage. Sinclair was murdered in front of his wife by a burglar in his own home.
