Home days Baden-Württemberg
The Baden-Württemberg Home Days have been held annually in Baden-Württemberg since 1978 ; they are the official state festival . They are each hosted by a different city. This is responsible for the organization together with the Baden-Württemberg State Committee for Home Care .
The state committee is supported by the four regional home care working groups in the administrative districts of Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Tübingen.
Several cultural events take place during the home days. The highlight is a parade through the city, during which traditional costume clubs and music bands from all regions of the country present themselves.
The first home days took place in Constance in 1978 . Since then, every year on the opening day, the home medal of the state of Baden-Württemberg has been awarded to ten citizens who have rendered outstanding services to the state of Baden-Württemberg. The future dates have already been set up to and including 2022. The State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg and the State Committee for Home Care Baden-Württemberg are responsible for awarding the home days .
