Heiner Meulemann
Heiner Meulemann (born October 26, 1944 in Wörth an der Donau ) is a German sociologist .
After studying sociology (diploma), Meulemann was a research assistant at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1971 to 1975 , where he received his PhD in 1974. phil. received his doctorate . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Cologne and did his habilitation in sociology at the University of Frankfurt during this time (1983). From 1983 to 1985 he represented a professorship in Frankfurt; he had already done that in 1980/81 at the University of Duisburg . Meulemann was Professor of Sociology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt from 1986 to 1989 , Professor at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf from 1989 to 1995 and has since been Professor of Sociology at the University of Cologne.
