Heinrich Stubbe

Heinrich Johannes Wilhelm Stubbe (born January 21, 1864 in Grevesmühlen , † January 30, 1941 in Hamburg ) was a German politician, Hamburg parliamentarian and senator ( SPD ).

Heinrich Stubbe spent his school and apprenticeship as a carpenter in Grevesmühlen. He came to Hamburg in 1883 and was until 1894 Carpenter journeyman . From 1890 to 1931 Stubbe was a member of the board of the SPD regional organization in Hamburg and headed it from 1906 to 1919 as chairman. He was involved in the woodworkers' association until 1906 and was managing director of the association newspaper from 1894 to 1906. From 1906 Stubbe worked for a year as an employee of the joiners' sickness and death fund . In 1907, Stubbe became (paid) party secretary of the SPD in Hamburg.

In 1904, Stubbe was elected to the Hamburg parliament for the SPD , to which he belonged until 1931. From January 1915 to November 1918, Stubbe was a successor member of the Reichstag . From March 28, 1919 to September 15, 1931, Stubbe was a member of the Hamburg Senate . He had to give up his office because of a downsizing of the Senate. In 1919 he worked for the police authority, the authority for emigration and the rulership . During his tenure in the Senate, he held the position of landlord, with which he was responsible for the affairs of the Hamburg rural area, which at that time mainly included Bergedorf , Cuxhaven , Geesthacht and the Vier- und Marschlande . In 1925 he worked as a police officer until Adolph Schönfelder replaced him on January 1, 1926. In 1931 he retired.

Heirich Stubbe was buried in the Ohlsdorf cemetery in Hamburg, Planquadrat AG 31 (north of Chapel 6).
