Henriette Kraus (born January 30, 1999 ) is a German ski jumper .

Career

Henriette Kraus made her international debut at an Alpine Cup competition in Pöhla on July 27, 2012. At her first German Championships in 2012 in Hinterzarten , she jumped to ninth place in the individual junior women.

In the 2013/14 season she mainly jumped in the Alpine Cup. At the German Junior Championships in 2013 in Oberstdorf , she reached 14th place. At the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA 2014 in Gérardmer , she jumped to seventh place in the individual pupils and fifth in team II. In this series she reached a podium for the first time on September 13, 2014 in Einsiedeln as third. In Hinterzarten, she reached eighth place at the 2014 German Junior Championships . In January 2015 she won one jumping in Seefeld and one in Oberwiesenthal in the Alpine Cup . After her Continental Cup debut in March 2013, Kraus was also able to jump into the top 30 in September 2014. With the points she achieved, she had met all the requirements to start in the World Cup . As part of the national group, Kraus was able to qualify for both World Cup competitions in Oberstdorf at the end of January 2015 and collected her first World Cup points on January 25, 2015 with rank 29.

European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015

Three days after her World Cup debut, she was able to win the individual silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015 in Tschagguns . On the last day of the festival, on her 16th birthday in the mixed team, she also won the gold medal.

At the 2015 Junior World Championships in Almaty , Henriette Kraus won gold in the team competition with her teammates Anna Rupprecht , Pauline Heßler and Gianina Ernst . In the individual jumping, she finished 15th. At her second Nordic ski games at the OPA 2015 in Seefeld, she won the bronze medal in the individual juniors and the gold medal in team I.

In the summer of 2015 she started the 2015/16 season in Villach in the FIS Cup with places 14th and 21st. At the 2015 German Championships in Oberstdorf, she was sixth in group I of junior women. In the further course she jumped in the Alpine Cup and in the Continental Cup and mostly reached top places.

In January 2016, the 17-year-old jumped to fourth place in the Alpine Cup in Oberwiesenthal .
