Henrik Albrecht (born August 23, 1969 in Cologne ) is a German composer with a focus on radio play music .

Life and work

Albrecht studied composition and composition with York Höller and Johannes Schild at the Cologne University of Music from 1991 and is also active as a pianist , bandoneonist and tango musician. He also gives concerts with a permanent ensemble at home and abroad, his musical point of view lies between serious and popular music . This brought him together with numerous representatives of the musical avant-garde and DJs from the Cologne electronics scene. Albrecht does not only compose for concerts, but rather has dedicated himself to composing music for radio plays and theater productions.

Productions

Among the productions in which he participated, among other things, by including SWR implemented radio plays of Andrea Camilleri's Montalbano series, the radio play to Umberto Eco's Baudolino and a radio play version of Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth , as well as a large number of other plays and - Books. For the recordings for the SWR radio plays, Albrecht often works with the SWR Radio Orchestra Kaiserslautern .

He also wrote the music for the WDR production Der Hund der Baskervilles (adaptation and direction: Bastian Pastewka ), which was first broadcast on January 5, 2014.
