Henry Ayers
Sir Henry Ayers (born May 1, 1821 in Portsea , Hampshire , Great Britain , † June 11, 1897 in Adelaide , Australia ) was the eighth Prime Minister of South Australia from 1863 to 1864 . In 1840 he emigrated to Australia with his wife Elizabeth. He was there five times, 1863 to 1864, 1865, 1867 to 1868, 1868 and 1872 to 1873 Premier of South Australia .
In 1873, the European explorers named William Gosse to Ayers Rock after him, today in the language of the traditional owners, the Aborigines from the trunk of the Pitjantjatjara , again Uluru is.
