Henryk Bromowicz

Henryk Bromowicz (born February 22, 1924 in Katowice , † December 30, 1982 in Warsaw ) was a Polish ice hockey player and coach .

Career

Henryk Bromowicz began his career as an ice hockey player with HKS Siemianowiczanka, for which he was active from 1945 to 1948. He then played for three years for RKS Siła Giszowiec and finally from 1951 to 1960 for Legia Warsaw . With Legia he won the Polish championship title from 1951 to 1957 and 1959 . After his active career, he became a coach and looked after his former club Legia Warsaw, GKS Tychy and Partizan Belgrade , among others .

International

For the Polish national ice hockey team Bromowicz took part in the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1948 , in Oslo in 1952 and in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 . He was also in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1947 , 1955 and 1957 . Between 1947 and 1957 he played a total of 54 international matches for Poland, in which he scored two goals.
