The Hessian FG received its legal basis with the Hessian Implementation Act for the Financial Court Regulations of December 17, 1965 (GVBl. I p. 347).

Management and construction

Dieter Merle is the president of the finance court . The court consists of 12 senates and had 39 permanent positions for professional judges in 2015 (2015 annual report), the senates are responsible for general matters for certain assigned regions of Hesse, in addition, some senates have supra-regional specializations.
