Hintergsäng is a wasteland of the Bad Grönenbach Kneipp spa in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria .

The Hintergsäng desert is about five kilometers south-east of Bad Grönenbach, at an altitude of 807  m above sea level. NN . Hintergsäng is bordered by the wilderness of Vordergsäng and the village of Ittelsburg in the west . The wasteland lies between the Falkenhöhe and the Wintisser Rain.

geology

The subsoil consists of an old moraine with terminal moraine courses from the Mind Ice Age of the Pleistocene . The soil consists partly of gravel and conglomerate , as well as gravel , sand , clays and silt .

history

In 1463, citizens from Memmingen were wealthy in Hintergsäng. Hintergsäng was mentioned in the land register of 1512 as a fiefdom.
