The School of Social and Media Culture in Toruń ( Polish: Wyższa Szkoła Kultury Społecznej i Medialnej w Toruniu ) is a private university that was founded in 2001 in Torun . It belongs to the “Lux Veritatis” foundation. The university was entered in the register of private vocational schools of the Ministry of National Education under number 75.
history
The university was founded by the Redemptorist father and media entrepreneur Tadeusz Rydzyk , who also founded the politically controversial radio station Radio Maryja . The first state subsidization of the facility by the Polish government cabinet Szydło led to controversy in 2016.
The rectorate is located in the Bielany district on Ulica Świętego Józefa, and the college campus is on Szosa Starotoruńska.
