ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2008
The ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2008 was the qualifying tournament for the ICC World Twenty20 2009 , which took place from 2nd to 5th August 2008 in Belfast , Northern Ireland . The Civil Service Cricket Club Ground served as the venue. The final could not take place due to rain, so that both finalists, Ireland and the Netherlands were declared tournament winners. In addition to these two teams, as Zimbabwe had withdrawn, third-placed Scotland could qualify for the final tournament.

A total of six teams took part in the tournament:

In the preliminary round, the teams were divided into two groups, each with three teams. The first two of each group then qualified for the semi-finals, the winners of which qualified for the final. The other placements were also played out. A total of 11 games were played.
