Ina Reinders (born Al-Sultan, married on May 12, 1979 in Wesel ) is a former German triathlete , duathlete and multiple German champion (1996, 1997, 1999, 2007, 2009).

Career

Ina Reinders, born 1979 in Wesel, began her sporting career in 1990 as a track and field athlete and from 1994 as a triathlete with the Gymnastics and Sportfreunde in Xanten , where she was one of the most successful young triathletes in Germany after winning several titles from 1995 onwards.

Junior European Triathlon Champion 1996

After winning the German youth championship as part of a team in 1995, winning the European youth championship as a team and as an individual athlete and winning the youth world championship as a team and the German championship as an individual athlete were among Reinders' greatest successes in the youth field in 1996 .

In 2000, Ina Reinders switched to the Asics team in Witten , with which she has since participated in competitions in the Triathlon Bundesliga and was able to win the German Bundesliga championship in 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2005. She was trained by Faris Al-Sultan .

Ina Reinders has a degree in business administration (FH) , began her teaching degree at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in 2004 and now works as a teacher in the Bavarian school service. In 2009 she became a member of Faris Al-Sultan's Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team .

In August 2010 Ina Reinders declared her active triathlon career to be over due to health problems. She was a member of the team until mid-2010 and supported the Abu Dhabi triathlon team as a supervisor until the team was dissolved in January 2013 after the end of her professional career.

Personal

Their son was born in April 2014. She has been married to the former triathlete Faris Al-Sultan (* 1978) since November and their daughter was born in January 2016. Her brother Yves Reinders is also active as a triathlete.
