Isabelle Jacobi (born March 15, 1969 in Bern ) is a Swiss journalist and playwright . She is a correspondent for Radio SRF and SRF News in Washington, DC ..

Personal

Isabelle Jacobi grew up in Worb in the canton of Bern . Her father was a director of Donald Hess Holding . Her mother was a psychologist .

Before her journalistic career, Jacobi wrote various plays and worked as a dramaturge , including for the Marie Theater in Aarau. Jacobi was also a member of the Bernese a cappella group "Single Bells" from 1995-2000 together with the actresses / singers Brigitte Frey and Marie-Louise Grunder.

In 2004 he spent six months in New York with a grant from the city and canton of Bern .

Education and journalistic career

Jacobi studied English , Swiss history and theater studies at the University of Bern and graduated in 1998 with a licentiate . Before that, she completed a two - year journalism degree in the USA at Pepperdine University in Malibu .

Isabelle Jacobi has been working for Schweizer Radio DRS and Radio SRF since 1999 . Until the end of 2006 she was editor , presenter and producer at SRF 2 Kultur and the background program " DRS 2 aktuell ".
