Jürgen Thormann (born February 12, 1928 in Rostock ) is a German actor , director , dubbing and radio play speaker .

Career

Thormann started his career as a stage actor and initially played at the Ernst-Barlach-Theater , Theater Bonn , Theater Bremen and Schauspielhaus Bochum . In addition, he was very successful on the stage of the Schillertheater from 1962 until its closure in 1993 , where he performed both classic and modern fabrics. Outstanding here was his portrayal of the father of the family at the side of Peter Ustinov (as Beethoven ) in the German-language premiere of Ustinov's Beethoven's Tenth in December 1987. In 1969 he received the Berlin State Actor Award . He also appeared in numerous television films and series, e. B. in Jakob and Adele or from 1996 to 1999 as Police President Siedhoff in the RTL series SK-Babies .

Thormann also works as a voice actor, together with Eckart Dux he is the longest-serving voice actor in Germany (as of September 2019).
