James Marsden
James Paul Marsden (born September 18, 1973 in Stillwater , Oklahoma ) is an American actor and model .
Life
Marsden grew up in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma. His parents divorced when he was nine years old. Marsden has four siblings: two younger sisters and two brothers. He attended Hefner Middle School , then Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City and then Oklahoma State University to study television journalism. Marsden dropped out of college after a year and a half and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Marsden had his first role in 1993 in the television drama The Tragedy of Waco . After a few more roles in television series like The Nanny , Party of Five and Touched by an Angel 1998, he received a starring role in the teen - Horror Disturbing yet! . From 2001 to 2002 he was in the fifth season of the successful lawyer series Ally McBeal in the role of lawyer Glenn Foy .
Marsden became known to a wide audience for his impersonation of Cyclops in three parts of the X-Men films. In the years that followed, he appeared in comedies such as Verwünscht and 27 Dresses . In the remake of the musical Hairspray , Marsden played the role of show host Corny Collins . Since 2016 he can be seen as Teddy Flood in the HBO television series Westworld .
James Marsden married on July 22, 2000, the actress Mary Elizabeth Lisa Linde, the daughter of country music - composer Dennis Linde. Linde filed for divorce on September 23, 2011. The two have a son (* 2001) and a daughter (* 2005). He then had a relationship with Rose Costa, which resulted in a son (* 2012). Marsden has been in a relationship with British musician Edei since 2015 .
