Janusz Council

Janusz Rat (born October 2, 1947 in Katowice ) is a German dentist and professional politician .

From 2005 to 2016 he was full-time Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists in Bavaria (KZVB), a public corporation Kdö.R.

Life

Janusz Rat has lived in Munich since 1950 . After graduating from high school in Nymphenburg , he studied law and dentistry at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and music at the Richard Strauss Conservatory . He completed his dental studies in 1977 with the state examination; In 1979 he received his doctorate.

From 1980 to 2011, Rat was established as a dentist in his own dental practice in Munich and worked as a dental expert (court expert ). Since then he has been working as a dentist part-time.

Since 1990, Rat has been married to Gabriele Rat, a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, and has two children.

Parallel to his studies, he completed over 750 free fall parachute jumps in the discipline of parachute formation jumping. In 1974 he and his team "Isargeier" of the Munich Fallschirmsportclub eV, of which he was the team captain and 2nd chairman, took 5th place at the 3rd German championship in formation jumping (then called: relative jumping) in Eudenbach / Königswinter and 8th place at the European Cup in the 10 speed star competition in Innsbruck. He worked on a voluntary basis as an expert for the Federal Aviation Office , Luftamt Süd, and examination board of the government of Upper Bavaria for the acceptance of the pilot's license and the parachute jump instructor's license . At the same time he was the deputy consultant for parachuting at the Luftsportverband Bayern eV in the German Aero Club eV

Professional activity

Since 1988 he has been involved in several hundred specialist articles published nationwide. a. in Die Zahnarzt Woche (DZW) in dental professional politics . From 1994 to 2002 Rat was an honorary member of the board of directors of the Bavarian State Dental Association (BLZK). As a public relations and new media consultant, he designed and programmed their first website in 1995 . As a speaker for fees, he wrote a commentary on the fee schedule for dentists (GOZ primer, 2002).

From 1998 to 2002 he held the honorary position of 2nd chairman of the Dental District Association Munich, City and State, Kdö.R.

In 2000 he was a founding member of the Association of Future Dentists Bavaria eV (ZZB). He represented him as honorary chairman from 2001 to 2016. This professional group won the 2004 and 2010 elections for the representative assembly of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists. Since 2005, Rat has been the full-time chairman of the board of directors of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists and was confirmed in his office for a further six years in 2010. The office ended on December 31, 2016. He did not run for the new 2017-2022 term.

From 2005 to 2016 he represented the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists (KZBV) on the advisory board of the Society for Telematics Applications of the Health Card ( gematik ). In the same year he took up his post as chairman of the data protection control committee of the representative assembly of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists. He was a deputy member of the evaluation committee of the KZBV and the central association of the German health insurance funds according to § 87 SGB V and was a member of the advisory board of the KZBV.

From 2005 to 2016 he was a member of the advisory board and until 2019 a member of the representative assembly of the Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (APO-Bank).

At the suggestion of the Association of Liberal Professions in Bavaria (VFB), Council was elected as a deputy member of the data protection commission at the Bavarian State Parliament for the period from 2009 to 2014. The Data Protection Commission is elected by the Bavarian State Parliament in accordance with the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) Art. 33 , is not bound by instructions and supports the State Commissioner for Data Protection in Bavaria , since 2009: Thomas Petri . In 2014 he was re-elected for the 2014 to 2019 term. He did not run for the new term of office.
