Jasimuddin

Jasimuddin ( Bengali জসীমউদ্দীন ; born November 1903 in Tambulkhana in the Faridpur District , British India ; † March 14, 1976 in Dhaka , Bangladesh ) was a Bengali writer . He became known as Polli Kobi (Folk Poet).

Life

As a student at Dhaka University he wrote his famous poem Kabar (German Das Grab ). After completing his master's degree at the University of Dhaka, he worked there as a lecturer.
