Career

Wemmer began his football career at TuS Sandhorst, after which he moved to SpVg Aurich and then to the Werder Bremen youth department . In July 2005, Wemmer moved to the amateurs of VfL Wolfsburg , but did not start regularly until the 2007/08 season. From July 2008 he played for SC Paderborn 07 , for which he made his debut as a professional footballer on July 27, 2008 (1st matchday) in the newly created third division , in a 4-1 win in the away game against Fortuna Düsseldorf . With the SCP he was third in the table at the end of his first season and made it to the 2nd Bundesliga. Before that, however, his season had ended prematurely after an Achilles tendon tear. This injury forced him to forego much of the first half of the 2010/11 season . For the rest of the season he was mostly part of the Paderborn starting line-up in the second division. In the following season he missed the promotion places to the Bundesliga by just one point with Paderborn as fifth . Wemmer was used in all 34 league games and scored two goals. With 22 second division games and three goals in the 2013/14 season , he played a part in his club's first promotion to the Bundesliga in 2014 , in which he played on August 24, 2014 (1st matchday), in a 2-2 home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 , made its debut.

For the 2015/16 season , Wemmer moved to Panathinaikos Athens . He did not renew the contract in 2017. In the summer of 2018 he moved to the Maltese Premier League for the Tarxien Rainbows . After one season he moved to Hibernians Paola within the league .
