Jens Wonneberger
Jens Wonneberger (born May 3, 1960 in Großröhrsdorf ) is a German writer .
Life
Jens Wonneberger grew up in Ohorn, Saxony . From 1980 to 1985 studied it Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Dresden . He then worked in research, but from 1986 was forced to carry out various other activities. In addition, literary texts were created. Wonneberger has been editor of the Dresden city magazine SAX since 1992 .
Wonneberger is the author of novels , short stories , poems and non-fiction books on the literary history of Saxony . He is a member of the PEN Center Germany and the Independent Writers Association Dresden (ASSO). In 1995, 1999 and 2002 he received grants from the Saxon Ministry for Science and Art , and in 2010 he was awarded the Literature Prize of the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art .
Wonneberger lives in Dresden .
His novel Mission Pflaumenbaum is one of the 20 books nominated for the German Book Prize 2020 (so-called longlist).
