Jiří Adam (born October 12, 1950 in Prague ) is a former Czechoslovak pentathlete and fencer .

Life

Adam was part of the Czechoslovak squad for the first time at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal . In the individual competition of the modern pentathlon he took 29th place, with the team, which included Bohumil Starnovský and Jan Bártů , he won silver. In 1980 Adam also took part in the games in Moscow , this time in epee fencing . He finished the competition with the Czechoslovak team in sixth place.
