Job, Joris & Marieke

Job, Joris & Marieke is a Dutch animation studio founded by Job Roggeveen , Joris Oprins and Marieke Blaauw .

Roggeveen (born 1979), Oprins (born 1980) and Blaauw (born 1979) met during their studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven . Oprins and Blaauw studied product design and Roggeveen graphic design . In 2007 they founded their animation studio in Utrecht. At the beginning of a project, they work together and then split up. Oprins and Blaauw are primarily responsible for narration and animation, while Roggeveen is dedicated to illustration and music. In addition to short films, they make z. B. also music videos, like for Gers Pardoels song Ik neem je mee 2011 or advertising films, like for the Tour de France 2014, with Le Tour Utrecht: Bon Voyage! .

Awards (selection)

Her short film A Single Life , released in 2014, was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Animated Short Film in 2015 , but did not win the award. At the Eindhoven Film Festival 2015 (Otto) won the award for the best animated film.
