Johann Lippet (* 1951 in Wels , Austria ) is a Romanian-German writer .

Life

Johann Lippet was born in Austria in 1951, where his parents had ended up at the end of the Second World War . In 1956 the family returned to Romania . He spent his childhood and attended elementary school in Vizejdia , his father's home village in the Banat . He completed secondary school in Großsanktnikolaus , where he graduated from high school in 1970. He studied German and Romanian at the University of the West Timișoara and worked as a German teacher. He was a co-founder of the literary group Action Group Banat , which existed from 1972 to 1975 in Timișoara ( German  Timisoara ). From 1978 to 1987 he worked as a dramaturge at the German State Theater Timişoara .

In 1987 Lippet left Romania for Germany. In 1992 he worked together with the director Bruno Klimek on a production of Molières Tartuffe for the Nationaltheater Mannheim . In Heidelberg he worked for the Academy for the Elderly and the City Library. Since 1998 Lippet has lived as a freelance writer in Sandhausen near Heidelberg.
