Jonas Erik Larholm (born June 3, 1982 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player . His body length is 1.93 m.

Larholm, who plays for the Danish club Ribe-Esbjerg HH and plays for the Swedish national team, is used on the center backcourt .

Career

Jonas Larholm began playing handball in his hometown at the first division club IK Sävehof . In 2000 he made his debut for Sävehof in the Swedish first division . With the men from a suburb of Gothenburg he won the championship and cup in 2004 and 2005, and in 2005 he was the top scorer of the Swedish league. He aroused the interest of other foreign clubs, in 2006 FC Barcelona signed Larholm. In his first season there, he won the Copa del Rey de Balonmano and the Spanish Super Cup. In summer 2008 Larholm left FC Barcelona and moved to AaB Håndbold from Aalborg. With AaB Håndbold he won the Danish championship in 2010 . In the 2010/11 season Larholm was the top scorer in the Danish league with 160 goals scored. Larholm played for Aalborg until the end of the 2011/12 season. He then signed a contract with the Hungarian first division Pick Szeged with which he 2014 the EHF European Cup won. He scored the decisive goal to 29:27 ten seconds before the end of seven meters . From summer 2014 he played for the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro . In summer 2016 he returned to IK Sävehof. With Sävehof he won the Swedish championship in 2019. From the start of the 2019/20 season, he worked as a player-coach at IK Sävehof. In September 2019, he resigned his coaching position at IK Sävehof and left the club. In November 2019, the Norwegian first division club Drammen HK signed him as a player. Since the 2020/21 season he has been working as a player and assistant coach for the Danish first division club Ribe-Esbjerg HH .

National team

Jonas Larholm has so far played 210 caps for the Swedish national team . At the 2004 World Cup , which he won with Sweden, he was voted the best player of the tournament. For the men's handball world championship 2007 in Germany, he could not qualify with Sweden. In the summer of 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the silver medal.
