Juju (born November 20, 1992 as Judith Wessendorf in Berlin ) is a German rapper . She became known as part of the hip hop duo SXTN .

Juju was born in Berlin as the daughter of a Moroccan and a German and grew up with her mother in the Neukölln district . She attended the Ernst-Abbe-Gymnasium in Neukölln , which she left after the 9th grade. As a child she mainly listened to German rap from Bushido , Aggro Berlin , Sido etc. and began rapping at the age of 14.

She mostly rapped with friends and later played a battle in the RBA (Reimliga Battle Arena) before she met the rapper Nura in 2010 . With her she founded the duo SXTN in 2014 , with whom she celebrated her first chart successes and released two albums. Her two most successful singles were From Party to Party , which reached gold status a year later and 30 million views on Youtube two years later, and Bongzimmer . She also published solo songs at this time. In 2018 the duo separated.

With the single Melodien (with Capital Bra ) in August 2018 she reached number one in the single charts in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . In May 2019 she achieved her second number one success in Germany with the single Miss Miss (with Henning May ). This reached platinum status in the year of publication for over 400,000 sales. In May 2019, the music video for the song, directed by Arabella Bartsch , was released, which so far (as of August 2020) has had over 58 million clicks. Juju's first solo album Bling Bling was released in June 2019.

In November 2019 she was voted Best German Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2019 . In the same month she was awarded the 1-Live-Krone in two categories for Best Artist and for Best Single (Missing) . In January 2020, she and Loredana released the single Kein Wort , which took first place in Germany and Austria. Her single Vertrau mir was released on July 16, 2020 . In August 2020 she released the single 2012 together with Bausa .
