Julia Elisabeth Roddar (born February 16, 1992 in Falun ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder made her debut for the Swedish national team in 2017 .

Career

Roddar started playing soccer at Slätta SK in her hometown Falun , then played for Falu Elit DFF before moving to Korsnäs IF in 2007. In the 2008 season Roddar played 14 games and scored 10 goals for Korsnäs IF in Division 3. Before the 2009 season she moved to Division 1 club Kvarnsvedens IK in Borlänge , but returned to Korsnäs IF in the summer of 2009. In late August 2009, Roddar traveled to the United States to work at Shattuck-St. Mary's Soccer Academy to study and play soccer. After a year at St. Mary's, she moved to the University of Wisconsin – Madison , where she played 20 games. After six months, she moved to Florida Gulf Coast University . During her years on the Florida Gulf Coast, she played a total of 62 games and scored four goals. During the summer break, Roddar returned to Sweden every year and played for Kvarnsvedens IK. Except in 2013 when she decided to play in Korsnäs IF for the summer months. In 2015, with Kvarnsvedens as master, he was promoted to the Damallsvenskan , where in ninth place the direct relegation could be avoided. In 2017, however , the club had to return to the Elitettan as the penultimate. Roddar then moved to Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC and became runner-up with the club in 2018 . In addition, the Supercup 2018/19 was won. The 2019 season she concluded with the club with the runner-up, where she was used in 19 of 22 games. On October 24, 2017, she made her debut in the senior national team in the World Cup qualifier against Hungary . She came on when the score was 5-0 in the 83rd minute. It was her only use in the successful qualification. It was followed by five more appearances in friendly matches, where she was only once in the starting line-up.

On May 16, she was nominated for the World Cup . At the World Cup she was the only field player in the squad that was not used. Without their participation, their teammates won the game for third place against England . She was also nominated for the first qualifying matches for the 2021 European Championship, but not used.
