Karl-Jürgen Bieback (born March 24, 1944 in Aurich ) is a German legal scholar and former professor at the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics .

Life

Bieback studied law at the Universities of Marburg , Göttingen and Poitiers . After the First and Second State Exam Bieback 1974 received his doctorate in Marburg at Dietrich Pirson Dr. iur. He then worked as a lecturer at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics (HWP) until 1979 . In 1979 he switched to a chair for public law and social law at the University of Hamburg as a full professor, before returning to the HWP in 1985 as a full professor for labor and social law. From 1997 to 1999 he was the spokesman for the legal department there, and from 2000 to 2002 he was vice-president of the HWP. In 2009 Bieback retired. He has prepared reports for works councils , trade unions and political parties .
