Kent-Harry Andersson (born April 29, 1949 in Ystad ) is a Swedish handball coach . He worked as the first coach in the 1st Bundesliga for many years and was very successful. His career began in Ystad, where he was born. He later received offers from Norway and Germany, where he spent several years.
From 2003 Andersson coached the Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt . In autumn 2006 he had to undergo a tumor operation on the inner ear and was unable to work as a SG trainer for four months. During this time, Viggó Sigurðsson took over the position of coach. After a few failures of his team and immediately after a home defeat in the derby against THW Kiel , SG Flensburg-Handewitt announced on December 21, 2008 the separation from Andersson. His successor was his assistant coach Per Carlén . After a break from handball, Andersson signed a contract with the Rhein-Neckar Löwen on August 12, 2009 , where he worked until September 2010. Since 2013 he has worked as a mental coach and mentor for the Norwegian men's national team.
Andersson is married to Mette Sällström and has two daughters. He has now moved back to Sweden and works there with personal coaching in various handball teams.
