action

Friends Doug, Craig and Brody have moved out of their home and are traveling to Los Angeles to buy a house, which they also want to make an impression on women. Once you have found your "dream home", you can first enjoy the luxury and your new freedom to the fullest. But they soon discover the first peculiarities: there are various animal bones in the cellar and a strange hole in the floor from which warmth rises. At first they suspect a defective sewer and think nothing of it, even though a Mexican had previously warned them that the house was cursed and possessed by the devil.

To get to know the hoped-for women, the three give a housewarming party. To do this, they print out invitations with the title Killer Pad and distribute them in the neighborhood. When they come back to their house, they have the impression that someone has broken into in the meantime. The mysterious Mexican appears again, but the three friends are not deterred, because the first sexy women are already signing up for the party. That allayed all of your concerns and even when a firefighter tried to inspect the basement and suddenly disappeared, you didn't suspect anything. All preparations are quickly made and the longed-for party can begin. Numerous guests arrive and while the party is happily celebrating, a guest disappears underground through the toilet, almost unnoticed. The defective sewer in the basement, which is actually a portal to hell, is becoming more and more active.

Doug and Craig get scared when they find three sisters dead in the hot tub. So that the party doesn't break down, don't talk to anyone about it, including Brody. They hide the corpses and shortly thereafter find three other dead guests who are also hiding. Actor Joey Lawrence is one of them . When Brody finds out, he doesn't want her party to end prematurely either and allies with his friends. Together they try to find the murderer they suspect among their guests. Before they know it , Satan stands before them in person and they recognize the threatening situation. They warn the other party guests who now want to flee the house, but are prevented from doing so by Satan and his assistants. However, after the guests show unity and human kindness, Satan's powers are broken and he disappears. But also the enchanted house, which lies in "rubble and ashes" after the party. As a consolation, all victims emerge from the ruins, alive and unharmed.

criticism

The lexicon of international films judged the production to be "inconsequential stoner and teenage fun" that was "bumpy and told without context" .

Kino.de assessed: “Horror veteran Robert Englund, best known for his portrayal of Freddy Krueger in the ' Nightmare ' films, has been careful with the American teen films of the past few years and is now enriching the genre as the director of this naive, turbulent horror passport Bad taste stoner party in the haunted house. He is not interested in excess blood and effects, rather the heart of the film beats in the attempts at communication and pairing of the charming, dumb hero trio. Party film in the truest sense of the word. "
