The Konrad Adenauer Monument in Bonn is a bronze head sculpture created in 1981 by the artist Hubertus von Pilgrim in memory of Konrad Adenauer on Bundeskanzlerplatz .

The sculpture was erected on May 26, 1982 in the presence of the then Federal President Karl Carstens and Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt . It is located in front of the former Federal Chancellery on the pedestrian path on Adenauerallee in Bonn. The plastic front is a realistic head about two meters high, modeled after Konrad Adenauer, which stands on a base. The back of the head shows the following relief-like images from the life of Konrad Adenauer:

The head is supposed to symbolize the perseverance , intelligence and foresight of this most important Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany . It is one of the most frequently photographed monuments in Bonn. The Chancellor's family objected to the idea of ​​placing the sculpture in front of his former home in Rhöndorf . The sculpture is a gift from the federal government to the city of Bonn.
