Act

Biebl's literary work began with proletarian poetry, influenced by Jiří Wolker and his uncle Arnošt Ráž , through poetism and surrealism to social poetry of the post-war period. His first poems appeared in the student magazine Cíl (Ziel) in Louny. Subsequent works turn to a distinctly gloomy motif due to experiences caused by the war. This is followed by works that were shaped by his friendship with Wolker and his travels. His poetry is laid out pacifistically , but with a pessimistic undertone as regards future, worldly and personal developments.
