The Kremstal in Upper Austria is the valley of the Krems river .

geography

The approximately 40 kilometer long valley extends from Haid near Ansfelden, a little southeast of Linz, southeast and then southwards. At the beginning it runs through the Traun-Enns-Platte , the undulating Riedelland of the Traunviertel as a flat, wide trough valley . From Wartberg it forms a wide valley funnel of the foothills of the Alps, which narrows sharply towards Kirchdorf . In Michelsdorf the valley ends in the Talwasserscheide of Nice , while the Krems something previously made a short alpine run ( In der Krems ) from Krems origin of the right to enter the valley.

The most important side valley is the out-of-the-alpine valley of the Sulzbach with Bad Hall and Adlwang . On both sides of the lower Krems there are several smaller valleys between the riedeln which stretches out towards the lower Traun valley .

With the Pyhrnbahn and the Pyhrn Autobahn , as well as the B 138, the Kremstal Straße and the Pyhrnpass Straße , several nationally important traffic routes lead through the valley.
