Kurdo

Kurdo Jalal Omar Abdel Kader (born November 30, 1988 in Sulaimaniyya , Iraq ) is a German rapper with Kurdish roots from Heidelberg .

Career

When he was eight, Kurdo came to Germany from Iraq as a refugee child . He grew up in the Heidelberg district of Emmertsgrund .

In 2011 he was on the video platform YouTube is known and then in February 2012 Releases Azzlackz by warrant under contract. Although they split up again six months later, he immediately found a new label in Beefhaus and had his first successes in 2012 with the Mixtape 11ta Stock Sound and the song Nike Cap, on the other hand . Several of his YouTube videos achieved seven-digit hits. In the Media Control Newcomer Charts he reached number four with his mixtape. In the same year he finished his debut album Slum Dog Millionaer with the support of rappers like Eko Fresh , KC Rebell , Mosh36 , Nazar and Kontra K , all of whom are featured on the album. The album was released in January 2014 and entered the German album charts at number six . He was also in the top 30 in Switzerland and Austria.

In September 2014 Kurdo presented his own label Almaz Musiq on his Facebook page. Almost a year after his debut his second album Almaz was released there . It was number 3 in Germany and number 1 on the album charts in Switzerland . A year later he reached number 2 in Germany with the album Verbrecher aus der Desert . In 2017 he managed to sell over 200,000 units for the first time with his single Ya Salam (produced by Kostas Karagiozidis & DJ Tuneruno ). With this single, Kurdo received his first gold record in Germany.
