action

La luna tells the story of Bambino, an Italian boy who accompanies his father (Papà) and his grandfather (Nonno) at work for the first time. You have to sweep clean the moon, on which many shining stars fall. Already in the opening sequence in the boat with which they drive to the full moon that is on the horizon, Papà and Nonno vie for the boy; everyone wants to be a role model for him. Because they both want to convey their work technique to the boy, a dispute arises between the old about the correct way of working. When a giant star crashes onto the moon, neither father nor grandfather can remove the jammed star. Bambino, however, finds a solution by breaking the gigantic star into small stars with a hammer. At the end, when they take the boat away again, the viewer sees that the full moon has been transformed into a waning moon by the shining stars swept to one side.
