Laila Robins

Laila Robins (born March 14, 1959 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Robins made his debut alongside Kevin Anderson in the movie A Walk on the Moon In the film drama from 1987. From cops laid on the Cross (1989) she starred opposite Tom Selleck and F. Murray Abraham a greater role. In the comedy A Girl Called Dinky (1990) she played the role of the school psychologist Elizabeth Zaks , who befriends the student Dinky Bossetti ( Winona Ryder ).

In the thriller Bitter Triumph (1992) Robins was seen at the side of Beverly D'Angelo and Ned Beatty . In the thriller Oxygen (1999) she took on a larger role at the side of Adrien Brody . In individual episodes of the television series The Sopranos from 1999 and 2001, she played the role of Livia Soprano in her younger years.

Robins appeared in numerous plays. She won the Joe A. Callaway Award in 1995 for portia in The Merchant of Venice . She was nominated for the 1997 Helen Hayes Award for the role in Mrs. Klein . She was nominated for the Lucille Lortel Award in 2004 for the role in Frozen .

Robins married the actor Robert Cuccioli .
