Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly

The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan (English Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan , French Assemblée législative de la Saskatchewan ) is the legislature of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan . It meets in the parliament building in Regina .

The Legislative Assembly belong to 61 members in as many constituencies for the majority system to be selected. The leader of the majority party is also prime minister and heads what is known as the executive council (English executive council , French conseil exécutif ).

The three main tasks of the Legislative Assembly are enacting new laws, approving the state budget and overseeing the government.
