Leopard, Seebär & Co. is a TV series of the North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR). In the zoo documentary soap , stories from the Hagenbeck Zoo in Hamburg are told. The series offers a look behind the scenes, accompanies the veterinarians and carers in their daily work and shows the animals up close. The series is part of a series of zoo documentaries that ARD television companies have been producing with great success since 2003. The first and ongoing documentary series is Elefant, Tiger & Co. from Leipzig Zoo .
Special programs of the NDR on the series Leopard, Seebär & Co. take up the animal baby stories of the series: Princess Rani - elephant birth near Hagenbeck , Wild & tiny! Baby animals at Hagenbeck , zoo babies from leopard, fur seals & Co. , etc. a.
Production and broadcast
The first season aired from July 25 to September 25, 2007. The second season was released from October 29 to December 30, 2009. The third season was aired from February 29th to May 2nd, 2012, the fourth season from April 4th to June 3rd, 2013. The 5th season was filmed from April to September 2016 and went on air from November 4, 2017 to June 16, 2018 for the tenth anniversary with a new opening credits and a new logo, which shows the female leopard Mor of the Hagenbeck Zoo. All seasons contain 40 episodes each.

On December 26th, 2018 there was a 90-minute special broadcast with the title Leopard, Seebär & Co.Special - Then & Now XXL - A Life for the Animals , in which, in addition to the animal stories, the life of the keepers was examined in more detail and where based historical imagery that traced the decades-long history of the zoo. The NDR had already published the television specials Wild & Winzig! - Baby animals at Hagenbeck (first broadcast: December 26, 2016) and leopard, fur seal & Co. Babies - Special XXL , which is also known as zoo babies from Leopard, fur seal & Co. (first broadcast: October 3, 2017). On December 25, 2019, the special broadcast Leopard, Seebär & Co.Special XXL followed: from Hagenbeck to Helgoland - out and about with friends .
