Latvian ice hockey league

The Latvian Ice Hockey League ( Latvijas Atklātais čempionāts , Latvijas Hokeja Līga ) is the top division in ice hockey in Latvia . Between 2006 and 2009 the league also carried the name Samsung Premjerlīga according to the main sponsor Samsung . Between 2003 and 2012 a team from Lithuania played in the top Latvian league and a team from Estonia in the 2007/08 season .
