Lilian Akopova (born June 17, 1983 in Yerevan , Armenian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a German pianist living in Munich .

biography

Lilian Akopova is the daughter of a musician and an engineer and grew up in Kiev . Barely five years old, she received her first music lessons. Her piano teacher Konstantin Quartermeister quickly recognized her talent. She entered the Lysenko Central Music School in Kiev for gifted children and young people. There she studied with Professor Valery Kozlov, among others. In 2000 she graduated from school with honors.

Lilian Akopova came to Munich at the invitation of Georgian professor Elisso Virsaladze. In September 2001 she began studying at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . In 2005 she passed the artistic diploma examination (today Bachelor of Arts) and completed the subsequent master class studies in 2007 with the master class diploma with Prof. Elisso Virsaladze with distinction (today: 'Master of Arts'). During her master's degree, she took part in master classes with the Hungarian pianist András Schiff and the Austrian pianist Paul Badura-Skoda . selected.

Due to her achievements, she received scholarships from the President-of-Ukraine-Foundation, the International Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, the “International Vladimir Krainev Society for the Promotion of Young Musicians”, the Yehudi Menuhin 'Live Music Now' Foundation, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Lilian Akopova lives in Munich. She has two sons (* 2008 and * 2011).

Concert career as a pianist

Lilian Akopova's concert career reached a number of highlights in 2018: She played a chamber concert with the Well siblings (violin and cello) in the Herkulessaal of the Munich Residence, took part in a literary concert alongside the Viennese actors Peter Simonischek and Brigitte Karner as soloists in the Munich Prince Regent Theater and plays a solo concert as part of Munich's Nymphenburg Summer.

Lilian Akopova held a chamber concert with a certain historical significance in April 2017 with the Armenian-born artists Anush Nikogosyan (violin) and Levon Mouradian (cello) on the occasion of the commemoration of the Armenian genocide 102 years ago. The famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour took over the patronage of the concert and the President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert wrote a greeting.

In May 2016 Lilian Akopova played a solo concert in the famous great concert hall of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. In November 2016 Lilian Akopova played a solo concert in the All Saints Court Church in the Munich Residence on the occasion of the establishment of her 'Lilian Akopova Foundation for Children'.

Lilian Akopova made her debut in 2002 in the “Great Hall” of the Moscow Pjotr ​​Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Since then she has been giving concerts in many European countries and also in the USA. It occurs in well-known concert halls, such as B. in the Konzerthaus Berlin , in the Salle Cortot in Paris, in the Palau de la Música in Valencia, in the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua.

She plays with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow State Orchestra, the Ukrainian State Orchestra Kiev, the Kharkiv Philharmonic, the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra , the Bolzano Chamber Orchestra and the Madrid State Radio Orchestra. Lilian Akopova gives concerts under the direction of conductors such as Enrique García Asensio, Arthur Fagen , Volker Schmidt-Gertenbach, Gottfried Schneider. Her chamber music partners include the violist Zheng Wenxiao , the violinist David Schultheiss, the violinist Mikhail Ovrutsky, the violinist Lena Neudauer , the double bass player Roman Patkoló and the double bass ensemble Bassiona Amorosa.

The duo Lilian Akopova and Henri Bonamy for a piano for four hands and for two pianos was founded in 2010 by Lilian Akopova and her husband, the pianist and conductor Henri Bonamy, and made their debut at the Tutzinger Brahmstage in the same year. It was successful over several years with a demanding repertoire. The two pianists jointly led concert events, such as the Chamber Music Festival in Munich in 2011 and the Classical and Jazz Days in Hinterzarten in the Black Forest for several years .

In 2018 she founded the "Aventin Trio" together with the cellist Julius Berger (professor at the University of Augsburg University of Music) and the violinist Nicolas Koeckert, which had two concerts in the Rococo Hall in Augsburg and the All Saints Court Church of the Munich Residence. In December 2018, Lilian Akopova and Nicolas Koeckert performed for the first time as a duo in the series of classical concerts in Schloss Elmau.

Nevertheless, she continues her solo career nationally and internationally.
