Lin Shusen

Lin Shusen ( Chinese  林树森 ; * 1946 in Shantou , Guangdong Province ) is a politician in the People's Republic of China .

Lin graduated from Guangdong University of Technology and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1981 . Lin then worked as a technician, planner and manager for various organizations in the Heping district . In 1983, he was appointed deputy mayor of Huizhou City . He later became director of the Guangdong Planning Commission. From 1996 to 2002 he was the mayor of Guangzhou . Then he was party secretary of this city until 2006.

From 2006 to 2010 he held the post of governor of Guizhou Province , initially in office . His successor in this office was Zhao Kezhi .

Since 2010 he has been deputy chairman of the Subcommittee on citizens from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People .

Lin was a candidate from 2002 to 2007 and has been a member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party since 2007 .
