The line 11 (span. Línea 11 , shortly L-11) is a metro -line of the Metro Madrid . It leads from Plaza Elíptica to La Fortuna , is about 8.5 kilometers long and has seven stations. The route is completely underground.

description

The L-11 is part of the metro's large profile network and the length of the stations is 115 meters. Since the load on the first short section is still rather low, small-profile vehicles operate temporarily. The connection to the rest of the large profile network is made through a 280 meter long connecting tunnel to the L-6 at Pan Bendito .

Construction work on the L-11 began in February 1997 and the first section between Plaza Elíptica and Pan Bendito was opened on November 16, 1998. The second section to La Peseta followed on December 18, 2006. On October 5, 2010 the station la Fortuna was opened, which currently forms the southern end point of line 11.

In the long term, the L-11 is to be extended north to the Atocha and Chamartín stations .
