Linn Ullmann

Linn Karin Beate Ullmann (born August 9, 1966 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian writer , journalist and child actress .

Life

Linn Ullmann is the daughter of Liv Ullmann and Ingmar Bergman . Her siblings and half-siblings include the actresses Anna Bergman and Lena Bergman , the actor Mats Bergman , the director Eva Bergman and the directors Jan Bergman and Daniel Bergman .

Already in 1971 and 1978 she had small roles in films with her mother and made her debut as a writer in 1998 with Før du sovner . She lives and works in Oslo, where she works as a cultural journalist for the daily Dagbladet .

In 1997 she accepted the Palm of the Palms as "Best Director of All Time" on behalf of her father at the Cannes International Film Festival . In 2011 she was appointed to the competition jury at the 64th Cannes Film Festival .

Ullmann is married to the poet and playwright Niels Fredrik Dahl . The couple have a daughter together.
