Peru has 15 designated national parks . These arelooked afterby the Servicio Nacional de Areas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado SERNANP (National Agency for the Protection and Conservation of Natural Areas).
Their total area of 103,941.60 km² corresponds to about 8% of the country's area (2018).
