The list of mayors of Mainz contains in chronological order all mayors and lord mayors of the city of Mainz since 1800.

In the time of the archbishopric, the city administration of Mainz was headed by persons with the multiple changed official titles scultetus ( mayor, captain, bailiff , and from 1489 Vice-Dominus or Vizedom) . At the head of the French Mainz stood a mayor ; from 1821 the office was called mayor . Some of the officials (from 1877 onwards all) were given the title of mayor as a special honor by the Grand Duke . In 1911, Lord Mayor became the regular name of the Mayor of Mainz. The title of mayor was sometimes used for all the mayor's deputies, the mayor's representative was even called first mayor . At the moment he is only called mayor , the councilors are called department heads .
