Loni Franz (born May 6, 1905 in Koblenz , † November 29, 1987 in Idstein ) was a youth carer and home manager at the Kalmenhof in Idstein. She came from a family of teachers. She trained as a kindergarten teacher and youth leader in Frankfurt . Until she was employed at Kalmenhof in 1935, she worked in various positions as a temporary worker.

She found her first permanent and permanent job at Kalmenhof. She worked here until 1967 as the director of the boys 'and girls' house.

Her commitment stood out in particular during the time of the euthanasia murders by the National Socialists at Kalmenhof. Through her resistance, she was able to save many of her protégés from death and alleviate the suffering of the children entrusted to her, who were often multiple disabled.

A street in the Füllenschlag area and a house on Kalmenhof bear her name in her honor.
