MC Shan

MC Shan (born September 6, 1965 in Long Island City , Queens , New York City , New York ; real name Shawn Moltke ) is an American rapper and music producer . He was a member of the Juice Crew and is the cousin of Marley Marl . It belongs to the Old School genre.

Career

As Marley Marl's cousin, he had the opportunity to become part of the Juice Crew. He took this and then released several singles . Including the than today's classics applicable The Bridge , which as a starting point of beefs between Boogie Down Productions can be seen and the Juice Crew.

In 1987 his debut album Down By Law was released . It was produced entirely by Marley Marl, as was the successor Born To Be Wild, which was published the following year . He changed this for his next album, Play It Again, Shan , for which he worked with a new producer.

He then began to produce himself and was only heard as a rapper again in 2000 on a remake of The Bridge ( Da Bridge 2001 ). It appeared on Queensbridge's Finest , an album released by Nas .
