Maik Baumgarten (born April 26, 1993 in Eisenach ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In 2006 Baumgarten moved from ESV Gerstungen to Rot-Weiß Erfurt . With the Erfurt, he went through the remaining youth departments. From the 2010/11 season he was used by the professionals playing in the third division . In the summer of 2012 he signed a professional contract that ran until 2015. Baumgarten was also used with the amateurs of Rot-Weiß Erfurt who played in the Northeast Football League . The contract expired at the end of the 2014/15 season ; Baumgarten and RW Erfurt could not agree on a contract extension.

For the season 2015/16 will change Baumgarten to Hansa Rostock . For the Hanseatic League he played 13 league games and scored one goal. At the end of August 2016, Baumgarten and Hansa Rostock terminated the still valid contract. Two months later he returned to his former club Rot-Weiß Erfurt.

At the end of the transfer period on January 31, 2018, Baumgarten signed a contract with KSV Hessen Kassel that ran until the end of the season .
