Marc Soler Gimènez (born November 22, 1993 in Vilanova i la Geltrú ) is a Spanish cyclist .

Athletic career

After Soler won the U23 individual time trial at the Spanish championships in 2014 and competed in the U23 Nations Cup - Tour de l'Avenir stage race and the U23 road race of the World Championships for the Spanish national team , he received a contract with the Movistar team in 2015 . For the national team, he won the overall ranking of the Tour de l'Avenir in 2015 and thus his first international bike race and in the following year for the Movistar team with the fourth stage of the Route du Sud his first international elite race. At the Route du Sud he was also runner-up overall and won the junior class.

In 2018 he won the Paris – Nice stage race . If he was 37 seconds behind Simon Yates before the last stage , Soler attacked when half of the stage had been completed together with David de la Cruz and Omar Fraile and in the end won the tour with a four-second lead.
